The Magnificent Pullman Mandalika Kute Hotel in Central Lombok Holds a Major Unresolved Problem

SAMBAR.ID, Lombok - The Pullman Kute Mandalika Hotel, which stands majestically in the Mandalika circuit area, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, still holds a major problem that has not been resolved to this day. Behind the grandeur of the hotel building, there is a 9-hectare land dispute between Umar, the original owner of the land, and PT Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).

This problem began with the takeover of land by ITDC on the grounds of state interests. However, to this day, payment to the original land owner, Umar, has not been made. The reason given by ITDC is that the land takeover was carried out in the interests of the state, which left Umar with no way to defend his rights because he had to deal with state officials who supported ITDC's steps, both from the local and central governments.

Umar has taken legal action through a lawsuit process at the Praya District Court, Central Lombok, to the level of Judicial Review (PK) at the Supreme Court of Indonesia.  Although Umar won the PK as his last attempt to regain his land rights, the issue is still unclear.

This condition finally caught the attention of PT Berita Istana Negara, which is committed to helping resolve this issue for the sake of justice for land owners in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Indonesia.

Dedy Afriandi Nusbar, SH, Hamjad Nahwie, and Warsito, as the main directors of PT Berita Istana Negara, have been appointed as Umar's attorneys. They will fight for Umar's rights until the land can finally return to its original owner, with the hope of creating a harmonious relationship between the state and its citizens.

Bribery Case at the Supreme Court

This case also intersects with the alleged bribery of Rp 27 billion at the Supreme Court involving the Secretary of the Supreme Court, Hasbi Hasan. Umar suspects that his defeat in the second PK is related to this bribery case, especially considering the rarity of second PKs being successful at the Supreme Court. Umar hopes that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the President will intervene to thoroughly investigate this case.

The 22-hectare disputed land, where three large hotels—Pullman, Paramount, and Royal Tulip—are currently located, according to Umar, is not a claim land, but land that he legally purchased. The courts have ruled in Umar's favor several times, but his defeat in the second PK made him doubt the ongoing legal process.

"This is for the sake of justice and law enforcement in our country," Umar emphasized.
